A premium look for every occasion

When Diageo wanted a first-class feel for their products on the Thai market,
HL Display delivered a tailor-made, innovative solution.

Tesco Lotus is the premium chain of hypermarkets in Thailand. In these stores, alcoholic beverages companyDiageo market brands such as Smirnoff and Tanqueray. Diageo wanted to create a more attractive display for their Johnnie Walker labels, namely Red Label, Gold Label, Platinum Label and Blue Label.

Diageo wanted a luxurious feel and the ability to change the gondola design with the launch of special events like Johnnie Walker’s Anniversary, New Year, and the World Cup 2014. The solution was a bespoke gondola made in wood, designed as a bar counter with chairs. When campaigns are launched, graphics for the side-, front-, and background panels are easily changed.

The concept with interchangeable design was developed by Diageo’s design- and marketing agency Shoppern. HL Display then developed the gondola design and managed the installation in 20 different stores.

After the roll-out, it became clear that flexible display solutions with changeable graphics create a more interesting product presentation which boosts sales.
